Dr Deborah Cohen is passionate about working with families and children, especially those visiting an Optometrist for the first time.
Dr. Deborah Cohen’s journey in optometry began as a young girl. She was diagnosed with strabismus (more commonly known as a “lazy eye”), which first brought her into the world of vision care. Inspired by her own experiences, she pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry – fulfilling a lifelong dream to help others see and live better.
Dr. Cohen is passionate about connecting with her patients through personal experience. She seeks to form a meaningful relationship with her patients, especially with children who may be visiting an optometrist for the first time; she strives to make as memorable of an experience with her patients as she had with her first Doctor of Optometry.
She provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, including: Myopia, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Astigmatism, and other common refractive errors. Additionally, she offers pre- and post-operative care for ocular surgeries such as cataract removal, LASIK and PRK.
Outside the office, Dr. Cohen cherishes quality time with her family. She and her husband, Daniel, enjoy cooking, exploring new places, spending time with their dog Milo, and playing pickleball together.
