Gianny Cardenas
Optician and Office Manager
Gianny joined Dr. Barry Leonard and Associates in 2013. He is a Licensed Optician (Medical Board of California) and is certified with The American Board of Opticianry (ABO). He has spent more than 18 years in various roles within the field of optometry, including the manufacturing of prescription lenses.
He is founder and executive director of The Power of Sight Foundation. A faith based nonprofit that provides eye care services to low income individuals in Los Angeles County.
He has extensive knowledge of how lenses are customized to the needs of patients, as well as applying the correct lens coating and treatments. His number one goal is making sure each patient has the perfect set of eyewear or contact lenses to help them see clearly.
Volunteering in the Community:
- Active Member of Volunteer Optometrics Services for Humanity (VOSH)
- Ambassador for the Greater San Fernando Chamber of Commerce.
